Job Summary:

Window to the Womb Worthing is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound scanning services to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert diagnostic assessments to parents of the key aspects of their baby's development and the pregnancy.
  • Conduct qualified and expert diagnoses of gynaecological ultrasound.
  • Deliver a caring and safe service to all customers, ensuring they are respected and provided with a dignified experience.
  • Complete accurately and correctly Obstetrics Reports for each customer.
  • Provide high-quality ultrasound scanning services to customers, ensuring they are well-informed throughout the scan process.
  • Produce the best possible images of the baby using accepted techniques to position the baby in an appropriate way to gain clear images.
  • Handle difficult situations with compassion and support, demonstrating high levels of professionalism.
  • Discuss openly and fully any actual or suspected anomalies with parents.
  • Ensure correct procedures and protocols are followed, referring mothers to relevant NHS specialists via the local Pathway process.
  • Follow up on identified anomalies with NHS specialists as required and appropriate.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recognised qualifications in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Registration with a Statutory Body, e.g. HCPC.
  • Current membership of a Professional Body providing Insurance Indemnity, e.g. SOR.
  • Medical qualifications.
