We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced healthcare professional to join our team as a Trainee Sonographer. As a Trainee Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing a highly specialist technical service using ultrasound scans to carry out diagnosis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Under supervision, analyze complex data and obtain maximum possible diagnostic information, taking into account anatomical and pathological limitations.
- Acquire the appropriate technical skill to operate ultrasound machinery safely and effectively.
- Scan in a variety of settings and locations, including main and satellite departments, under supervision.
- Maximize service provision by working in any of the following sites: Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton/Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath/Hove Polyclinic.
Essential Criteria
- Valid HCPC or NMC registration.
- Experience within the NHS.
- Knowledge of IT systems.
- Relevant 1st Degree.
- Skilled in written and verbal communication.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of Imaging IT systems.
- Experience in delivering bad news.
- Proof of CPD/further study.
Essential Criteria
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
