Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Design Engineer Intern to join our team at the UK GPU Design Centre. As a Design Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our experienced designers to refine GPU micro-architectural specifications and collaborate with our architecture, physical design, and verification teams to deliver high-quality graphics IP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement modern design techniques to balance energy efficiency, performance, and area constraints.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to identify potential issues and refine GPU micro-architectural specifications.
  • Work closely with the physical design team to ensure the design behaves as intended and is tested thoroughly.
  • Review synthesis and power reports, root-cause, and resolve timing and power issues.
  • Ensure maximal QoR throughout the design process.
Requirements
  • Strong background in computer architecture, including high-speed CMOS processor and controller blocks, cache controllers, bus-interface subsystems, integer and floating-point numeric units, digital filters, graphics processors, crossbar fabrics, and other high-speed data-path control units.
  • Well-versed in logic optimisation, synthesis, and timing analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with energy-efficient and low-power logic design.
