We are seeking a highly skilled Freedom of Information and Records Officer to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for logging requests, maintaining a register of requests, and working with internal and third-party stakeholders to ensure timely responses. This role is critical in supporting compliance with various legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), The Data Protection Act 2018, The Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004, and Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong knowledge of the FOI Act and related guidance, as well as experience in responding to information requests from the public and others. You should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

As a valued member of our team, you will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our response times while maintaining an open and transparent ethos. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.
