Foster Wales Powys, a service of Powys County Council, is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide short-term emergency or respite foster care for young people. As a Reflective Foster Carer, you will play a vital role in providing a secure and supportive environment for children and young people who require immediate placement or respite care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to young people who present a range of behaviors, requiring patience, understanding, and commitment.
- Work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including a dedicated fostering social worker and family support worker, to ensure the individual needs of each child or young person are met.
- Support young people through times of transition and change, promoting stability and security in their lives.
- Participate in a specialist training program, enhancing your skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care.
Benefits:
- Receive a weekly fee of £380, plus fostering allowances, when you have a child in placement.
- Access to 24-hour support via the foster care support line and emergency duty team, ensuring you have the support you need, whenever you need it.
