Residential Childcare Support Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and support to young people with challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional, social, and educational support to young people, promoting their overall well-being and development.
  • Organize and participate in activities that foster skills, confidence, and positive relationships among young people.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records, adhering to statutory and policy requirements.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure the highest standards of care and support.

Requirements:

  • Empathy and resilience in handling challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A full manual driving license, as you will be using one of our pool cars to transport young people.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable, but not essential.
