Senior Town Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Aberdeen. As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering complex planning projects, managing applications, and providing strategic advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and prepare planning applications and appeals for a diverse range of projects
  • Advise clients on planning strategies and navigate local planning policies
  • Lead consultations with local authorities and key stakeholders
  • Mentor and support junior staff members
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development
Requirements:
  • Chartered membership of the RTPI (or close to obtaining chartership)
  • Extensive knowledge of Scottish planning policies and procedures
  • Proven experience in a town planning role, preferably within a consultancy or local authority
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work to tight deadlines
