Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced healthcare professional to lead our healthcare team as the Head of Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality evidence-based practice clinical and operational healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the healthcare team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to patients.
  • Clinical Governance: Ensure the provision of high-quality evidence-based practice clinical and operational healthcare services, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of healthcare services, ensuring they are safe, effective, and efficient.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with key stakeholders, including Directors, Deputy Directors, and other Heads of Healthcare, to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the healthcare team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Registered healthcare professional with current appropriate registration (e.g., Nurse with NMC membership).
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a prison environment and current vetting.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills, with experience of leading teams in complex environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the effective application of the Health & Social Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation.
  • Confidentiality: Understanding and application of confidentiality.
