We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and repair of complex systems in the UK and worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Perform service tasks across the UK and worldwide, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
- Install, integrate, and test existing and new products to support programme execution, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
- Conduct installation audits and generate installation audit reports for customer acceptance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Diagnose and fix issues on naval platforms in accordance with in-service support contracts, utilizing advanced technical skills and knowledge.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests, ensuring that products meet the required specifications and standards.
- Provide technical support to customers and other engineers, offering expert advice and guidance to resolve complex issues.
- Regular travel within the UK, predominantly to Portsmouth and Barrow-in-Furness, will be required, with the use of a company car provided.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, as well as that of other persons around you, adhering to company standards and statutory requirements.
- Experience as a field service engineer, with a strong understanding of the defence environment.
- Practical fault-finding skills on complex equipment, with a focus on maritime systems such as radar.
- PC configuration experience, with networking and IT skills, to support the installation and maintenance of advanced systems.
- Familiarity with control systems and networking, with a strong understanding of system integration and testing.
- A full UK driving licence, with the ability to manage your own time and work effectively on your own.
- Confidence in representing Northrop Grumman to customers and users, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government security clearance in line with the job role (SC). Our requirement team is on hand to answer any questions and guide you through the process.
