We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our Natural Resources & New Energies team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our Controls & Performance team, you will be responsible for delivering effective project controls services to our clients across diverse and complex programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cross-discipline teams of project controls professionals to deliver project controls services, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and value addition to clients.
- Drive continuous improvement in project controls processes to enhance efficiency and benefits for clients.
- Develop and implement project controls approaches across project, programme, and portfolio levels to support informed decision-making.
- Establish and maintain effective governance and assurance processes for project controls products.
- Design and implement scaled, tailored, and integrated project controls approaches, documenting these for future reference.
- Define scope through identification and management of exclusions, assumptions, interfaces, and dependencies, and coordinate scope decomposition.
- Collaborate with Integrated Project Teams to establish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline and manage change control processes.
- Work with Project and Commercial Management to establish supplier project controls contract requirements and integrate supplier performance data.
- Ensure scope, cost, risk, and schedule integration and alignment, analyzing performance data to provide delivery insights and facilitate delivery decisions.
- Train and coach clients and less experienced team members on performance and reporting management processes and practices.
- Assure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of the Project Controls team's output.
- Undertake line management activities, including career development and performance management.
- Ability to interact with Senior Management/Leadership members when delivering updates on Performance Management in complex project/programme environments.
- Ability to lead a team responsible for defining and delivering performance management cadences on complex projects/programmes, along with associated processes and reports.
- Guide the team on appropriate use of systems and tools (such as Power BI and Excel) in relation to Performance Management, Analysis & Reporting.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to liaise with clients, contractors, and designers.
- Ability to bring out the best in team members by promoting proactive collaboration and effective teamwork.
- Take responsibility for personal performance and core skill set development.
- A UK driving license or ability to travel to client sites across the region, as required.
- Experience in applying several Project Controls disciplines (Planning, Cost Estimation, Cost Management, Risk Management, or Reporting) in multiple projects.
- Practical experience of integrating Project Controls disciplines and assessing team maturity and ways of working.
- Experience in using some Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys, etc).
