We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a Study Skills Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing learning support and academic guidance to students with specific learning impairments (SpLDs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one learning support and academic guidance to students with SpLDs.
  • Develop and implement tailored study skills programs to enhance students' comprehension skills in reading and writing.
  • Collaborate with students, educators, and other support staff to ensure seamless support and guidance.
  • Travel to local universities and colleges to offer in-person and online sessions, meeting student preferences.
  • Adhere to the qualification framework set by the Department for Education (DfE) and ensure all services are funded by the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).

Requirements:

  • Passion for assisting students in achieving academic success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing student needs.
  • Strong understanding of study skills and academic support principles.
  • Qualifications and experience in a related field.
