Painting a range of vehicles using a water-based paint scheme is a key responsibility of this role. The ideal candidate will have experience in mixing and colour matching paints prior to painting the vehicles. Additional tasks include undertaking some final prep of vehicle prior to paint and painting small repairs on a single panel through to full resprays of vehicles. The role involves working in a fast-paced, modern, well-equipped bodyshop. The successful candidate will be able to paint vehicles to a high standard, have excellent attention to detail, and hold a full category B driving licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences. The role requires the ability to work under own initiative as well as being a team player. Igloo is a leading automotive company with a nationwide presence, offering a rewarding career as a Paint Sprayer. The company is looking for a skilled individual to join their team in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, working a Monday-Friday shift pattern from 07:00-17:00. The PAYE rate for this role is £18 p/h, and the employment type is on-going work. The role provides the opportunity to work with a range of vehicles, from small family cars to light commercial vehicles. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team. Igloo is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment, and the successful candidate will be required to hold a full category B driving licence and have own air-fed mask and paint guns.
