About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Ellern Mede Barnet. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Chef and a food hygiene certificate.

In this role, you will be responsible for catering for patients, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with our Dieticians and food suppliers to ensure meals meet patient needs.

Main Responsibilities:
• Cater for patients, staff, and visitors
• Prepare hot meals and snacks for staff working across all shifts, showcasing creativity and flair
• Receive training in Ellern Mede's policies and processes
• Maintain knowledge using our e-learning platform
• Work with a kitchen assistant, supervise kitchen hygiene, stock control, and ordering
• Prepare food for all patients and staff
• Prepare special diets as directed by the Duty Registered Nurse and/or Dietician

Person Specification:
Qualification:
• Essential: Food hygiene certificate
• Desirable: Basic calculus skills
Experience:
• Essential: Previous experience as a Chef
• Desirable: Previous experience working in a hospital or school setting

Salary and Benefits:
This role attracts a salary of approximately £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including access to free on-site parking.
