Poultry Farm Worker Job Description

ISQ Recruitment is partnering with a leading agricultural client to hire a Poultry Farm Worker. If you are passionate about animal welfare and have a strong interest in poultry farming, this role may be an excellent opportunity for you.

We are seeking a motivated individual who can take an active role in maintaining high standards of husbandry and care for birds while adhering to biosecurity protocols. The successful candidate will support the farm s operations by ensuring animal welfare and production efficiency, assist in bird care under the guidance of the Farm Manager, and manage litter to create a clean and healthy environment for the birds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the farm s operations by maintaining animal welfare and production efficiency.
  • Assist in bird care, closely following guidance from the Farm Manager.
  • Manage litter, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for the birds.
  • Prepare the farm for chick arrivals and manage bird departures.
  • Ensure the farm remains tidy and properly secured.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times.
Requirements:
  • No previous experience necessary; full training will be provided.
  • A genuine interest in poultry farming and animal welfare.
  • Must have own transportation due to the rural location.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Open to undertaking additional tasks as needed to support the farm s operations.
