Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Wood PLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide first-line asset engineering support to our maintenance delivery teams, ensuring the execution of effective maintenance and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing qualified engineering guidance and endorsement of engineering change, maintenance deferrals, and other activities as per our engineering standards
  • Identifying and providing cost-effective engineering solutions to plant operations and maintenance problems
  • Acting as a focal point for performance monitoring and troubleshooting of electrical systems, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Collaborating closely with our EA's and Technical function


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering degree and extensive electrical engineering experience
  • Professional accreditation as an engineer
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering technical practices and legislation
  • Considerable relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in an engineering and production operations environment
  • Good working knowledge and application of relevant UK oil and gas industry regulations, particularly electrical regulations
  • Familiarity with quality processes and continuous improvement tools is desirable
  • Knowledge of all forms of engineering documentation
  • SAP experience, particularly SAP PM, although other CMMS will be considered
