About the Role

The successful candidate will be expected to provide risk management expertise in complex areas and manage their own work with limited supervision. You will be responsible for developing in-depth knowledge of the evolving Global Environmental Products markets landscape, with a focus on Europe, the Americas, and the global voluntary markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market risks and their impact on the business
  • Provide daily performance and risk analysis for traders and senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with front office and other finance functions to support commercial activities
  • Lead/assist on Market Risk matters, including new deals and fair economic value assessments
  • Develop tools for ongoing portfolio reviews and produce deep dive analysis for senior management
  • Provide review and comments on new and group business proposals
  • Drive understanding of methodologies to assess risk/reward of the portfolio
Requirements
  • Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Business/Commerce, or a related field
  • Significant Market Risk experience, preferably in energy markets
  • Understanding of energy & derivative markets and market Risk Management fundamentals
  • Competent in understanding trading valuations, including building and validating new models as needed
  • Ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform under rigid deadlines
