Job Description

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to join our team. As a Hydraulic Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out engineering work at our service centre, on-site, and at customer premises, as requested by our line management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Work: Carry out engineering work at the service centre, on-site, and at customer premises, as requested by the line management.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure that all work designated is completed to specification, in accordance with our company's procedures and quality standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all hydraulic equipment, systems, or components have been examined, repaired, or serviced and properly tested in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, and approved by a nominated person at commissioning stage or prior to dispatch.
  • Pipework Installation: Ensure that all installations, including rigid or flexible pipework, are completed in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
  • Project Management: Make every effort to ensure work is completed on-time and within budget, identifying additional work not included in the original estimate and reporting information to the Engineering Manager.
  • Training and Development: Actively look for training and development opportunities.
  • Risk Assessment: Ensure that the relevant Risk Assessments are completed and actioned.
  • Off-Site Work: Off-site commissioning, service, and repair work.
  • Company Assets: Ensure the safe-keeping, regular maintenance, and professional appearance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to Company Health & Safety policy.
  • Qualifications: BFPA level 1 & 2 certificate in mobile/industrial hydraulics or a recognized time-served apprenticeship or proven experience.
  • Additional Requirements: A basic understanding of electrics/electronics would be beneficial, but not essential. Full clean driving licence. Health insurance.
  • Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 - 16:00. Overtime available. Sunday 2x. Generous holiday package. Pension.
