Training Advisor – Health and Social Care

Ceredigion County Council is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Training Advisor – Health and Social Care. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our learners and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and training in the health and social care sector.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality tuition and assessment in a specialism and related subjects across the appropriate Curriculum Range.
- Comply with all Ceredigion County Council and HCT Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake all duties in line with the Health & Safety Policy and undertake risk assessments as appropriate.
- Comply with individual and corporate responsibilities under the Data Protection Act and for Child Safeguarding and Vulnerable Adults.
- Take responsibility for course/personal tutorship and assist with the welfare, guidance, counselling and induction of learners, as required.
- Oversee and take responsibility for practical projects both internal and external to HCT and visits to alternative venues.
- From 27 up to 34 days annual leave days per year (plus 8 public holidays)

Our primary functions include School Improvement, Additional Learning Needs, Pupil Wellbeing, Education Governance, School Admissions, Culture, Infrastructure and Resources, Catering, and Childcare Unit.
We are committed to safeguarding and protecting children and adults at risk. As part of this commitment, certain roles within our organisation require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to assess the suitability of candidates. This role will require an Enhanced DBS check. Please note that the presence of previous convictions will not necessarily disqualify a candidate from consideration for this position. We assess each applicant on a case-by-case basis, and take into account the nature and relevance of any convictions in relation to the responsibilities of the role.
