Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
The Scotch Whisky Specialist Laboratory is a dynamic team that creates new Scotch innovations for global consumers and manages the long-term quality of our existing portfolio of brands. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the Whisky Specialist Laboratory and delivering services to our collaborators.
Key Responsibilities
- Laboratory Operations - management of glassware, ensuring correct PPE is always available, and maintaining lab equipment.
- Sample Management - supporting the ordering and management process, preparation of samples for shipment to customers, and general lab administration.
- Quality Control - championing safe working behavior, tidiness through Good Laboratory Practice, and ensuring compliance with all HMRC and DIAGEO protocols.
Requirements
- Education - A Levels / Higher Qualification or HNC in Science / Food Science / Chemistry or related discipline required.
- Skills - good communication skills, excellent organisational skills, and basic computing skills, including email, word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
