Laboratory Technician

Diageo is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Scotch Whisky Specialist Laboratory team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory and the delivery of high-quality services to our collaborators.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage laboratory operations, including the management of glassware, calibration of equipment, and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Ensure correct PPE is always available in a clean and useable condition.
- Ensure all standard commodities components are fully stocked, e.g., sample bottles.
- Support sample ordering and management process.
- Support preparation of sensory panels.
- Preparation of samples for shipment to customers.
- General lab administration and data capture.
- Compliance with all HMRC and Diageo protocols.
- A Levels/Higher Qualification or HNC in Science/Food Science/Chemistry or related discipline required, or proven experience equivalent.
- Excellent organizational skills, good communication skills, and ability to work with a diverse team.
- Positive attitude and ability to work at pace.
- Flexible approach to each day.
- Self-motivated to carry out routine tasks.
- Desire to learn, build skills, and make a contribution to the delivery of the team.
As a temporary contractor, you'll be employed by our Managed Service Provider, Magnit Global, who manage most of our temporary contract hiring, you will not be employed by Diageo.
