Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled GP to join our team at LCW UCC, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Urgent Treatment Centre. As a GP in Community Paediatrics, you will be responsible for managing acute illness and minor injury in adult and paediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treating patients who have been streamed to the UTC following an initial triage, managing at least 3 cases per hour.
  • Accurately eliciting the history of an event/illness, including past medical and drug history.
  • Evaluating clinical information from history and examination to arrange for appropriate investigations and treatment.
  • Redirecting patients to primary and community care settings where required.
  • Following organisational medicines management policy.
  • Working collaboratively with streaming nurses, ANPs, physician associates, and other members of a multidisciplinary team to deliver national and local targets.
  • Ensuring an appropriate real-time documented record of every patient's attendance.
  • Engaging with the senior governance team regarding incidents and complaints, as well as the need for clinical audit/research.
  • Taking responsibility for equipment and supplies, ensuring NHS resources are used appropriately and efficiently.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a skilled GP with experience in managing acute illness and minor injury. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
