New Appointments Group is seeking a talented Head of Mechanical Engineering Operations to lead our engineering operations team.

About the Role

This is a permanent appointment with an estimated salary of c£46,200 per annum, plus benefits. The successful candidate will work within a state-of-the-art engineering facility with access to cutting-edge equipment, including robotic Kuka arms, XYZ CNC mills and lathes, 3D printers, and computer-based labs.

As Head of Mechanical Engineering Operations, you will oversee the planning and implementation of a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet local/regional skills requirements. You will also teach, support, and assess students' coursework, as well as implement the launching of new T levels in Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and enhance curriculum content to meet industry standards.
  2. Teach and assess students' coursework, providing constructive feedback.
  3. Oversee mechanical and electrical/electronic engineering qualifications.
  4. Implement new T levels in Engineering, ensuring alignment with industry requirements.
  5. Lead and manage a team of engineers to achieve operational excellence.
