HSBC is seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM) team. As a key member of our Regulatory Affairs function, you will play a critical role in maintaining a positive and effective relationship with regulators and governmental bodies.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head of Regulatory Affairs in managing regulatory engagements across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
- Provide oversight of material regulatory engagement management and act as a contact point for escalation and/or queries.
- Ensure that regulators' agendas and requirements are understood, communicated, and met.
- Support senior management in engagement with key regulators, including preparation of briefing notes and attendance at meetings.
- Engage on compliance-related matters with regulators, working with relevant Compliance colleagues, Global Businesses, and Global Functions.
- Monitor regulatory engagement trends and provide updates, reporting, and guidance as required.
- Provide guidance to Global Functions and Global Businesses regarding regulatory engagement trends/developments.
- Support HSBC strategy through leadership accountability for a part of a function or functional responsibility within Global/Region.
- Experience in a Compliance or Risk Management role.
- Knowledge of regulatory and financial crime compliance risks and industry good practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and work efficiently.
- Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.
- Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal and influencing skills.
