Job Description

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in providing a supportive learning environment for students.
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support to students.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists to deliver targeted interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with students and their families.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of students, adhering to established procedures.

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • A proactive approach to supporting students.
