Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Business Support Manager to join our Senior Medical Team within Health Education and Improvement Wales. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to the Postgraduate Medical Dean and the Medical Senior Management Team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Postgraduate Medical Dean and the Medical Senior Management Team.
  • Work autonomously, setting own work priorities, collaborating with multiple areas of the organisation and stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Organise meetings, conferences, and events, and minute take at high-level meetings.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical processes and procedures, along with project monitoring and standard office practices.
  • Experience of managing own workload and working autonomously.
  • Experience of organising meetings, conferences, and events, and minute taking at high-level meetings.
  • Experience of developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Desirable

  • Project management qualification.
  • Previous experience as a secretary/PA.
  • Experience of working in the NHS or other public sector body.

Language

We welcome applications from Welsh and/or English speakers. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
