About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Data Engineer II to join our CONTROLS DATA & REPORTING Technology Team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for enhancing, designing, and delivering data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Organization and Maintenance: Organize, update, and maintain gathered data to make it actionable and support business decisions.
  • Data Security and Access: Demonstrate a working knowledge of data system components to determine controls needed to ensure secure data access.
  • Custom Configuration and Development: Make custom configuration changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business or customer request.
  • Data Modeling and Updates: Update logical or physical data models based on new use cases with minimal supervision.
  • Culture and Teamwork: Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Data Analytics Expertise: Formal training or certification in Data Analytics concepts and applied experience.
  • Data Lifecycle Experience: Experience across the data lifecycle.
  • Advanced SQL and ETL Skills: Advanced skills in SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations) and ETL tools to process data for visualization.
  • Relational Database Knowledge: Working understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Statistical Data Analysis: Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns to perform analysis.
  • Customization and Development: Experience customizing changes in a tool to generate a product.
  • Tableau Development: Designs, develops, and implements Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizes Tableau performance by tuning workbooks, data extracts, and queries.
  • Data Validation and Integrity: Performs data validation and ensures data integrity across various data sources.
