About the Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to join our Addiction Liaison Outreach Team as a Senior Addiction Liaison Nurse.

This is a fixed-term position of 2 years 8 months, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with complex alcohol and drug problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with individuals with complex alcohol and drug problems, providing comprehensive assessments and tailored care plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, social services, and community organizations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of assertive outreach strategies, harm reduction interventions, and support services to promote engagement in treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support to individuals with complex needs.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with level 1 NMC registration.
  • At least 2 years of addiction experience or 2 years of community experience at band 5.
  • Education to a minimum of degree level or equivalent.
