Job Title: Senior Addiction Liaison Nurse

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Addiction Liaison Nurse to join our Inverclyde Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. As a key member of the Addiction Liaison Outreach Team, you will play a vital role in providing assertive outreach, harm reduction interventions, and support to promote engagement in treatment for individuals with complex alcohol and drug problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with individuals with complex alcohol and drug problems and associated risks, providing in-depth assessments, care, and treatment.
  • Develop and implement assertive care plans to manage higher levels of risk.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Acute Hospitals, Liaison Psychiatry, and community services, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide support to individuals recently released from prison, discharged from hospital, and those in high-risk crisis situations.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with Level 1 NMC registration.
  • At least 2 years of addiction experience or 2 years of community experience at Band 5.
  • Education to a minimum of degree level or equivalent.
