About the Role

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.

Job Responsibilities
  • Undertake psychiatric assessments for clients referred to the unit, determining the appropriate level of care under the direction of the Consultant Psychiatrist, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the Care Programme.
  • Prepare discharge summaries, reports, and other necessary documentation, as directed by the Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • Participate in learning activities and supervision, ensuring timely completion of contracted hours utilised in research, Continuing Professional Development, and other non-clinical duties.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure access to medical cover at all times, requiring participation in an on-call rota for the site.
Requirements

We seek a highly skilled professional with:

  • 12 months' experience in CAMHS psychiatry.
  • Previous mental health inpatient experience, desirable.
  • A positive attitude towards change, improvement, and quality.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development (preferred).
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (preferred).
