Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team within the Acute Medicine Unit at NHS Scotland. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to acutely unwell patients, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver effective care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Participate in the assessment and management of patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to NHS Scotland's values and standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in acute medicine.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience working in an acute medicine environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and weekends, as required.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
