We are partnering with an independent Housing Association to recruit a Surveying Professional on a temporary basis. The role is full-time, 35 hours a week, Monday – Friday, with flexible working hours and a rate of £30.00 - £35.00 per hour on an umbrella basis.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Social Housing, a versatile surveying background, and experience in pre and post inspections.

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out surveys and property inspections, including damp and mould, pre, post, and work in progress inspections.
  • Surveying, evaluating, programming, implementing, and overseeing work within the district in domestic properties.
  • Completing reports following inspections.
  • Monitoring and managing the delivery of day-to-day works, raising and issuing orders, and ensuring repairs are updated.
  • Ensuring customer needs are properly understood and works are completed to a good standard and in line with the organisation's policy and procedures.
  • Ensuring contractors and suppliers perform to specification and contractual terms, reporting into the Contracts Manager.

Requirements:

  • You will need to be an organised person who can balance and prioritise your workload within a designated patch.
  • You will have a customer-centric approach with a focus on getting it right first time, ideally you will be a pragmatic decision maker and able to think on your feet.
  • Experience in Repairs & Maintenance surveying is essential.
  • You will have a Full UK Driving licence.
  • Knowledge of current legislation around Damp & Mould is beneficial for this role.
