Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Heights, Burnley. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for students
• Provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential
• Develop and maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, colleagues, and parents
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures

Requirements

• GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics at level 2
• Child Care/NVQ or other relevant qualification at level 2
• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
• Ability to relate well to children and provide a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations
