Cleaning Equipment Technician Position

We are seeking an accomplished Cleaning Equipment Technician to fill a crucial role in our Exeter facility. The selected candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless operation of our Professional cleaning equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on electrical engineering. A full UK driving license and flexibility to travel are must-have qualifications.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on Professional cleaning equipment in our workshops and during site visits.
  • Accurately document all work completed, prepare detailed service reports, and engage in regular communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Promote and sell maintenance contracts and related services to boost customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order to prevent downtime and ensure efficiency.
  • Manage van spares inventory effectively to minimize operational interruptions.
  • Upkeep and promote the company's image at all times.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management to achieve business objectives.
  • Attend training sessions, meetings, and company events to stay up-to-date on industry trends.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths.
  • Qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the service and cleaning industries is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in workshop engineering and/or working with cleaning equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
  • Able to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
