Career Opportunity: Join our dynamic Nuclear Medicine team as a Radiation Technologist We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide technical support to our DXA service and across the full range of Nuclear Medicine Services.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, 7-month fixed-term position at Band 5 level in the Nuclear Medicine department at Singleton Hospital. As a Radiation Technologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services using specialized equipment.
Main DutiesYour key responsibilities will include:
- Providing patient support, counselling, and welfare
- Ensuring correct patient preparation and compliance ahead of complex procedures
You will work closely with technical staff to deliver excellent patient care and implement infection control procedures. The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential.
Requirements and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you must have a BSc in an appropriate physical, biological, or technological based discipline or equivalent vocational experience. You should also be prepared to work towards professional registration as a Clinical Technologist/Radiographer.
Desirable qualifications include experience in DXA scanning, radiopharmacy, conventional/SPECT-CT Nuclear Medicine imaging scanning, PET/CT imaging, and diagnostic CT or other radiography sub-specialty.
