About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Shift Engineer to join our team at Stott & May Professional Search Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, including lighting installations, fault-finding, and lamp replacements.
  • Conduct regular emergency lighting tests to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot control panels to prevent system failures.
  • Replace ballast in lighting systems to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, including pumps, motors, and air handling units.
  • Keep detailed records and maintain log books to track maintenance activities and identify trends.
  • Address basic plumbing issues to prevent system failures.
  • Service pumps and motors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) to ensure optimal indoor air quality.
  • Perform water treatment tasks, including monitoring tap temperatures, flushing systems, and logging data.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical certification.
  • Ability to provide copies of relevant trade certificates.
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
  • Multi-skilled across various aspects of M&E maintenance.
  • Data Centre / critical infrastructure experience.
