About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Call Taker to join our team at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As an Emergency Call Taker, you will be the first point of contact for individuals in crisis, providing critical support and guidance to help them navigate emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide calm, empathetic, and professional support to callers.
  • Assess situations and make informed decisions to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Collaborate with emergency services teams to provide seamless care and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of calls and interactions.
Requirements
  • Good standard of education (2 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience of using a computerized system.
