As a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and attending to their personal needs, enhancing the development and education of pupils in the classroom and across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies to support students with special educational needs.
  • Support the needs of individual students or small groups of students, as directed by teaching staff, to ensure they receive the necessary support to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of student progress, including tracking student data and progress towards IEP goals.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies to support students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers.
