Castlefield Recruitment is partnering with a South East-based local authority to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a 3-6 month contract, with a strong possibility of extension. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organisation undergoing progressive change, with the option to work remotely (occasional office visits).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a robust accounting service to the Housing service area
• Liaise with budget holders to produce accurate budgets and ensure financial risk is understood
• Assist in training budget holders on financial matters
• Produce KPI reports
• Present financial reports to senior management
• Attend and contribute to regular budget monitoring reports with senior stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate:

• CCAB/CIMA qualified or relevant experience
• Proven business partnering approach
• Experience within public sector finance
• Local authority experience (desirable)
