We are seeking a skilled event professional to lead the planning, development, and execution of large-scale events. As a seasoned event manager, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver exceptional results that meet client expectations.

Your key responsibilities will include managing all aspects of event delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to demonstrate their leadership and event management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing event formats, campaign messages, content, and programming in collaboration with clients.
  2. Directing project teams on event planning and delivery, from ideation to completion.
  3. Managing project profitability, team resource capacity, and aligning with business objectives.
  4. Creating and managing event budgets, ensuring effective financial planning.
  5. Negotiating contracts with third-party vendors to secure optimal services.
  6. Collaborating with Exhibitions, Creative, and Production teams on project execution.
  7. Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear expectations.
  8. Identifying freelance resource needs and securing them through senior management collaboration.
  9. Overseeing project timelines, ensuring milestones are met, and mitigating potential risks.
  10. Developing management plans and technical run sheets for on-site use, including resource planning.
  11. Ensuring Health & Safety and security management best practices are followed.
  12. Providing VIP and VVIP management, including Royal, Ministerial, C-suite delegate, and talent support as required.
  13. Leading on-site event delivery, potentially requiring weekend and evening work.
  14. Maintaining best practice across event delivery, prioritizing sustainability.
  15. Conducting post-event evaluations to analyze data and report findings.
The Ideal Candidate:
  1. Possesses a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work with enthusiasm and care.
  2. Has extensive experience managing multi-day conferences with substantial production elements.
  3. Comfortable overseeing budgets exceeding £500,000 and managing complex financial planning.
  4. Skilled in coordinating numerous events for diverse clients.
  5. Adapts well to challenges and embraces problem-solving opportunities.
  6. Possesses a strong industry track record and a robust professional network.
  7. Maintains composure under pressure, handles multiple tasks efficiently, and delivers work with attention to detail.
  8. Communicates effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues, building positive working relationships.
  9. Proficient in writing, administration, and Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  10. Open to domestic and international travel for short periods as required.
  11. Brings leadership experience, including line management and mentoring team members.
  12. Confident in leading discussions and conference calls.
  13. Quickly identifies solutions and makes informed decisions when necessary.
  14. Manages complex budgets and provides timely, accurate financial reporting.
  15. Demonstrates relevant experience in a similar role or equivalent capacity.
