Actuarial Analyst Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team in the UK Insurance, Wealth & Retirement (IWR) Actuarial Reporting department. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery and explanation of key reporting metrics that drive our business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the actuarial and accounting specialists to deliver our Wealth financial results.
- Explain and analyze the impact of key drivers of Aviva's UK IWR's financial results on a monthly basis.
- Support the team in understanding our results and provide insight into sources of profit and loss.
- Collaborate with commercial teams and the Actuarial and Risk functions to drive forward understanding of how financials impact the business.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of financial reporting metrics, including IFRS & Solvency II.
- Good knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles, formulae, and methodology.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work closely with others to ensure reporting processes are challenged to improve efficiency and maintain a strong control environment.
What We Offer
- London salary circa £50,000, National salary circa £40,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary (actual amount depends on performance and Aviva's).
