About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Team Member to join our dynamic team at Home Bargains. As a Store Team Member, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming store environment, and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with stock replenishment, maintaining a tidy and organized store environment, and ensuring products are available and presented in a visually appealing way.
  • Operate cash handling equipment, process transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets, maintain high standards of customer service, and support the overall success of the store.
  • Participate in visual merchandising, maintaining store displays, and ensuring a consistent and appealing store image.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in a retail environment, with a focus on customer service and sales.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to operate cash handling equipment and maintain accurate records.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate, ranging from £9.00 to £11.88 per hour, depending on age and experience.
  • 20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours.
  • 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year, including bank and public holiday allowance, rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service.
