We are seeking a skilled Theatre Nurse to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Nurse to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our theatre nursing team.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities- To manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring that patient care is prioritised appropriately and that all aspects of care are delivered to a high standard.
- To assist with the organisation of the unit, including responsibility for a designated area of practice within the department on a daily basis.
- To act as a team leader to an identified group of staff, monitoring and documenting the development of their clinical skills.
- To develop own skills in recruitment and retention, sickness management and performance management as determined by line manager.
- To actively support the process of risk management and health & safety – upholding relevant policies to promote this and ensuring incidents are reported appropriately.
- A registered nurse with current registration with the NMC.
- Experience of working in a theatre setting, preferably in an NHS trust.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of the team.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
We offer a competitive salary of £36,930 - £44,503 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and opportunities for career development.
LocationThe post will be based at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London SE5 9RS.
