Job Title: Shift Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join our team at one of the UK's leading food manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the engineering team to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity and reliability of our equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize plant performance, including utilities such as electricity and compressed air.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and safety requirements, and maintain and follow safety standards and procedures for all engineering activities.
Requirements:
  • Multi-skilled engineer with time-served experience and/or qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • BTEC Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is essential.
  • HNC or HND in an engineering discipline is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and experience in a similar role, particularly in food manufacturing.
  • Effective problem-solver and decision-maker with strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver performance improvements and work within budget.
