Job Title: Shift Engineer - Nights

We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join our team at one of the UK's leading food manufacturers. This full-time position operates on a 4 on 4 off schedule, offering an excellent opportunity to balance work and personal life.

About the Role:

As a Shift Engineer, you will support all site engineering and maintenance needs, ensuring efficient production through asset maintenance and technical expertise. You will work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Manager to minimise downtime and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all site engineering and maintenance needs
  • Ensure efficient production through asset maintenance and technical expertise
  • Work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Manager to minimise downtime and improve processes
  • Maintain and follow safety standards and procedures for all engineering activities
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties as required by the Engineering Supervisor/Manager
  • Work with the engineering team to optimise plant performance, including utilities like electricity and compressed air
Requirements:
  • Multi-skilled engineer with time-served experience and/or qualifications
  • BTEC Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is essential
  • HNC or HND in an engineering discipline is desirable
  • Experience in a similar role, particularly in food manufacturing, is desirable
  • Proven ability to deliver performance improvements and work within budget
  • Fully computer literate
