Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a world-leading manufacturer based in the Ebbw Vale area.

This is a challenging and varied role that requires a strong background in electrical maintenance and a safe and logical approach to installation and/or breakdown maintenance of equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining uptime of conveyor and drive systems, fillers, ovens, furnaces, charging systems, motor/gearboxes, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns of heavy industry machinery and electrical systems.
  • Install and replace electrical parts and supplies as required.
  • Liaise and provide support to production shift teams.
  • Complete daily works records and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements:
  • Strong electrical breakdown maintenance background.
  • Experience with varying voltages and types of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Basic PLC logic and inverter drive systems desirable (Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi).
  • Experience with at point risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering discipline.
