Development Management Team Leader Opportunity

Penguin Recruitment is excited to support a Local Authority in Derbyshire in their search for a Development Management Team Leader. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide professional planning leadership and day-to-day operational management to staff within the Development Management Section. This will include maintaining an operational case load of predominantly major planning case work.

This role is ideal for an experienced Principal Planning Officer looking for the next step in their career or an existing Development Management Team Leader seeking a new challenge.

Requirements
  • A relevant Town Planning qualification or a related discipline
  • MRTPI
  • Substantial Development Management experience
  • Staff management experience
  • Effective communicator
  • Driving Licence and ability to visit sites throughout the council's area
