Practice Educator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Practice Educator - Clinical Skills Specialist at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our nursing staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver clinical skills training programs for multi-professional audiences, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with the Trust's Development Strategy.
- Provide one-to-one clinical teaching and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Contribute to the training needs analysis of each clinical area, working closely with the Emergency Department Practice Development Nurse.
- Design and deliver competency-based training programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our nursing staff and patients.
- Support the development of our nursing staff, including newly qualified nurses, through the preceptorship program.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote good communication and sharing of best practices.
- NMC registered
- MSPP or equivalent
- ILS/ALS PILS/EPALS
- Safeguarding level 3
- ALS/EPALS instructor
- Experience of mentoring or supervising staff
- Experience of variety of teaching methods
- Has taken part in audit
