Maintenance Assistant

Nexgen Group is a dynamic organization seeking to recruit a part-time Maintenance Assistant - Cleaning Services for one of our static sites in the Dunston, Northampton area.
Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced individual to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant - Cleaning Services. The role involves performing cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the site.
Responsibilities and Duties- Clean walls, skirting boards, handrails, ledges, window sills, radiators, lifts, doors, and frames using dusting equipment or wet wipes.
- Sweep floors using brushes or dust control mops to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Mop floors with wet or damp mops to maintain a hygienic standard.
- Hover carpeted areas to prevent dust buildup and maintain a clean appearance.
- Empty waste bins or similar receptacles and transport waste material to designated collection points.
- Mix cleaning supplies according to manufacturer instructions to ensure safe use.
- Replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as needed.
- Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, and sinks to maintain a high level of hygiene.
- Clean communal kitchen areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Prior experience in a cleaning or maintenance role would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
This is a part-time position working 12 hours per week over 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
Estimated Salary RangeThe estimated salary for this role is between £18,000 - £20,000 per annum depending on experience.
