Academic Substitute Leader Job Summary

beBee Professionals is looking for a qualified Academic Substitute Leader to join our team in Hove, United Kingdom.

About the Position:

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and organized individual to take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and classroom management skills. As an Academic Substitute Leader, you will be responsible for managing classrooms during teacher absences, leading students in activities and lessons, and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, supervising students and maintaining discipline in accordance with school policies.
  • Lead students in activities and lessons, adapting to different classroom environments as needed.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and support students with their learning when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a school environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong leadership and classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt to different classroom settings.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
