About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with local communities to build trust and raise awareness of dementia and our information, support, and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and organize events to engage with local communities and promote our services.
  • Build relationships with community leaders and organizations to increase awareness of dementia and our work.
  • Manage a team of volunteers to support community engagement activities.
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to reach underserved communities.
  • Collaborate with the Local Communities and Volunteering Lead and Local Services Manager to deliver community engagement activities.
About You

We are looking for a confident and compassionate individual with experience in community engagement, volunteer management, and dementia awareness. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

You will be a self-starter with a passion for making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to our values of Determined, Trusted Expert, Better Together, and Compassionate.
